Reconstruction of Genome-scale Metabolic Pathway facilitates various analysis and simulation to understand cellular processes in Aspergillus terreus. ASP-MP, an Aspergillus terreus metabolic pathway database is developed for the analysis of pathways in A.terreus NIH2624. ASP-MP database is created by BLASTing protein sequences of A.terreus against closely related aspergillus species such as A. oryzae, A. niger and A.nidulans to generate initial set of reactions. In addition, enzyme from the functional re-annotation data using integrated re-annotation approach is used for updating reaction set. The metabolic pathways are constructed using Graphviz and are stored in ASP-MP. ASP-MP provides options for searching database using EC number and Pathway names. The user can also create networks for a set of reactions with their catalyzing enzymes using ASP-MP.
